Use near-doubles facts

Near-doubles reasoning treats an addition fact with consecutive addends as a known doubles fact adjusted by one: $7+8$ can be found from $7+7+1$ or $8+8-1$. This supports flexible recall of addition and related subtraction facts within 20 and develops decomposition and recombination of quantities; it does not include generalized strategies for larger numbers or formal algebraic treatment.
