Equal groups have the same number of objects in every group.

To make equal groups:

  1. Count all the objects.
  2. Make the number of groups you need.
  3. Share the objects one at a time, going to each group in order.
  4. Count the objects in each group. Check that the groups match.

Example: Make 33 equal groups with (12)(12) stars.

Start with (12)(12) stars:

Make 33 groups. Share the stars one at a time:
